His New Bed

Hunter has gotten much better at going to sleep in his bed, it only took a half hour today for him to go down for his nap! :) and not nearly as much crying this time! mostly just him doing his usual babbling himself to sleep mixed with trying to sneak out of his room. hehe.

My Big Boy

Hunter has officially been moved into his new toddler bed! :)
After an hour and a half (of talking, and getting out of bed and banging on the wall), he fell asleep in his new bed for his morning nap, and after an hour and 15 min of talking to himself I let him get up from his afternoon nap. and tonight after a mere 15 minutes of fighting sleep, he is peacefully sleeping in his new bed! :) yeay!

Incisors & Molars

When Hunter finally got his first tooth it was the two bottom middle ones (central incisors). In the months to follow he has gotten 6 more teeth, all on the top gum. Both central and lateral incisors, and just last week his first molars on both the left and right side (his teeth always seem to come through in pairs).
Well today I noticed two more teeth coming through, ON THE BOTTOM this time!! Yay!
Hunter is finally cutting his bottom two lateral incisors.
So total tooth count for Hunter is 10! Wow.
Now we wait for some bottom molars and few cuspids ;)
hehe.

WHAT!?!?!?

60 minutes tonight was about motherhood. they talked about surrogates, and birthing options, nursing -the usual things associated with having a baby.
But then, there was a story about Reborns. Baby dolls that are made to look like real babies. People pay anywhere from $500 to $2,000 for these dolls!
Here comes the crazy part: some people who buy these dress them up and take them to the park and on walks in strollers and act as though they are real babies!
Weird.
What made me really sad about it though was the interview with one of these women who pretend like they are real babies. This lady said they were so great because you had all of the good things about babies with none of the bad. no changing diapers, no crying, and they stay babies forever.
I just thought to myself, is she crazy? The best part of having babies is being able to comfort them when they cry, seeing them smile and laugh and watching them grow. Sure changing diapers isnt all that great, but everything else makes up for that. Babies are so wonderful in all that they do how could anyone think that a life like doll could be better than the real thing?
Sad. Really.

One last thing, they had a story about nursing which i'm all for, but please people, do not nurse your children until they are 8 or 9 years old! Don't you think that is a little too old?

Another Mini Ryan?

I have been looking back at baby pictures of Hunter to see how much Hunter and Keegan look alike. Ryan has said from the first day that Keegan looks more like me. I thought so at first too, but looking back at Hunter's baby pictures i'm not so sure. So you decide, does Ryan have another mini me, or does Keegan look a little bit more like his mommy?
